I am NoBrainerStocks. My brain capacity is limited, so I wait for no-brainer investment ideas.

I started out investing trying to look at larger companies and trying to buy wonderful companies at fair prices, majorly businesses which were followed by many analysts and well known to most people. Last year, I was introduced to the micro cap world by some of the most generous and successful micro cap investors through their tweets and blogs. So, of late, I have been trying to look more at cheap, obscure micro caps and becoming more open towards the “fair companies at wonderful prices” category. It has been a wonderful learning experience so far and I have been loving every bit of it.

I was lucky enough to make some great friends at the Berkshire meeting in 2023, and through some of their nudging, I have been documenting the business research that I do in the form of a thesis. In the 2007 Berkshire annual meeting, Warren Buffett said the following about becoming a better investor:

“I used to always recommend to my students that they take a yellow pad like this and if they’re buying a hundred shares of General Motors at 30 and General Motors has whatever it has out, 600 million shares or a little less, that they say, “I’m going to buy the General Motors company for $18 billion, and here’s why”. And if they can’t give a good essay on that subject, they’ve got no business buying 100 shares or ten shares or one share at $30 per share because they are not subjecting it to business tests

This substack is my attempt to write this essay on a business that I buy or find interesting enough to write about.

Disclaimer:  None of what I write is a recommendation to buy or sell a stock. I am an internet stranger writing about random businesses with no successful track record in investing. This is a selfish endeavor to grow as an investor myself and to document my research as I do not have a good memory. Please do your own research before buying a stock.
